After you must have added your footnotes and endnotes to your document, you can change the way they appear. For instance, you can choose to change the number format of your footnote or endnote in your document. To do this, follow the steps given below

Go to the Reference tab and click on the Footnote button

In the Footnote and Endnote dialog box, set the following options to customize your footnote and endnote

Footnotes : select the Bottom of the page to place the footnote at the bottom of the page.
